What do you mean by Personal Change?
Personal Change is the growth and development that all humans should undergo throughout
their life times. Many people are resistant to Personal Change, resulting in difficulties in their lives.
What would I notice that indicates a need for Personal Change?
The indicators for Personal Change vary widely, from a simple desire for better health or
a noticed stagnation in an area of one's life, to veritable crisis situations accompanied by unsureness or bewilderment
(like a feeling of "cracking up" or a so-called midlife crisis).
So you're a psychologist?
Not at all. Psychology deals with disorders of the mind. Personal Change is
fundamental to the human state and is very much part of the order of our existence.
If it's so natural, why bother with Personal Change Training?
Eating is very natural as well, but if you're not trained in using food utensils, it can get rather
messy and involved and tend not to endear you to others. Personal Change is much the same: some people will develop
the involved graces without much help, and others will require help to have the Change come smoothly and effectively.
Then I could do this on my own?
Absolutely. For example, I have built up my own abilities and stamina and now do about 90% of my
Personal Change without outside assistance. However, if you are lacking in the tools of Personal Change, the
transition can be rather uncomfortable, unstructured, unfocused and prolonged. Also, some people prefer to let
a Trainer map out a plan and select the appropriate tools, reserving their own maximum focus for the actual
Personal Change work.
What then does a Personal Change Trainer do?
Trainers help people change by providing tools and assisting in the use of those tools.
The types of tools range from informational resources, to more complex tools used to eliminate conflicts,
set priorities, and generally pave the way to smooth Personal Change transitions.
What won't I experience with a Personal Change Trainer?
You won't find a bunch of "quit smoking", "lose weight" type programs. Personal
Change may ultimately involve losing weight, e.g., but Personal Change Training assists in whatever life changes are
appropriate and these changes may or may not have distinct physical results. There is no set "program" because
everybody has different needs and different time frames in which to effect change.
Why would anyone want to experience Change?
Many people don't. It is seemingly much more comfortable to remain stagnant. However,
many of life's woes are signals for the need for Personal Change; by answering the call for Change, many
people agree they are better for it.
